David was born September 30, 1981. His father, Mario Guevara, worked with Radio HRGS for about 10 years and is now on the board of Bible Basics Ministries of Honduras.
David graduated from Piedmont Baptist College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the alma mater of BBI’s president, Eugene Priddy. Since graduating and returning to Honduras, David has acted as interpreter for the past two BBI STAR Teams Evangelistic Campaigns in Honduras. David spoke at the Youth Rally attended by 1,000 people in El Progreso in July, 2006, and also preached in the local churches during the week-long campaign.
Megan is a “Missionary Kid” from Africa where she grew up, fitting her well for working in the Honduran culture. She participated in the 2006 STAR Team outreach in El Progreso. Like David, Megan is a graduate of Piedmont Baptist College in Winston-Salem, NC.
Their ministry heartbeat is working with young people. They already have a group in La Ceiba, Honduras that meets regularly with the goal of establishing a Christian coffee house to reach the young people of that coastal city. Their larger goal is to plant a church in La Ceiba, which is the third largest city in Honduras and lies on the coast near Roatán and Radio HRGS. Even though they are already on the field, they still need monthly financial support. Please pray for them and their financial support as they minister in Honduras.
David and Megan were married in North Carolina in 2003 and now have three children, two boys, Andrew and Kaeden with Kaeden being the youngest, and a girl, Adrianna. They are members of Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, their sending church.
