Steve Best is now serving as New President
Odessa, FL, September 5, 2017 - Bible Basics International announced today that Herman Meister stepped aside as Interim President on July 17th at which time Steve Best assumed the leadership of Bible Basics International as it’s 3rd President.
To develop and improve the organization’s vision and priorities, and launch new initiatives to strengthen its impact in global disciple making, the Bible Basics International Board of Directors concluded a two year search and unanimously confirmed Steve Best as the new President of Bible Basics International. On behalf of the Bible Basics International board, Chairman John Mitten said,
“Steve comes to Bible Basics International with a strong local church and world missions background. He has served as a pastor/church planter, who has built strong mission programs and sent missionaries to the field. In addition, Steve has demonstrated leadership and experience through international missions training and executive leadership with another mission agency training center.”
Herman Meister continues to engage in ministry at Bible Basics International in his role as Vice President of International Ministries and Director of STAR Teams. Herman said,
“When I first learned of the need for a new president, my heart was reassured that God had just the right person and that His timing is always perfect. Assuming the position of interim president was necessary but one I did not cherish. With God’s help, I knew He would make up for my inadequacies. The office staff and our field missionaries prayed diligently and continually for God to send the right man for the job. God did just that and in His time. I am excited to see how God will use our new president to continue to enhance the ministry of Bible Basics. I just spent 10 days with Steve in Honduras, and God continued to reassure me Steve and his wife, Terri are His servants for our ministry. I am thrilled to be working with Steve as is the rest of our staff.”
