Rev. Armando Romo

Rev. Armando Romo was born in Ecuador, South America. He began his missionary service with Trans World Radio on the island of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles in February 1972.

For more than 22 years, Rev. Romo was Director of the Spanish Listeners' Mail, answering the letters from the listeners that had special spiritual questions. In addition, he produced several Spanish programs that were aired from the TWR station on Bonaire. He was also the announcer for the Thru the Bible Spanish program, and read the mail that came from the listeners. In September of 1995 the Rev. Romo was transferred to the Dominican Republic where he continued with the production of this radio program. In January of 2000 he was transferred to Tampa, Florida in the USA on loan to Bible Basics International, to work with Rev. Samuel Montoya in the revision, updating, and recording of the Spanish Thru the Bible program. At the completion of this 5 year project, in February of 2005, Rev. Romo retired from Trans World Radio after 33 years of faithful service to the Lord.

At present, Rev. Romo continues to serve the Lord — on the staff of Bible Basics International in Odessa, FL, helping with the translation of English material into Spanish for radio programming.

Rev. Romo was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the Temple Heights Spanish Baptist Mission in June of 2003. He married Gladys Teràn in December, 1966. They had three children and five grandchildren. Gladys went home to be with the Lord in May 2008.
